It's hard to tell but lately it has been like living in a snowglobe.

#23 - sunday in the park with joan

I'm calling today's photos "Sunday in the Park with Joan," a play on the play "Sunday in the Park with George," because I started my Sunday afternoon photo session in Riverside Park by the Joan of Arc monument. My camera battery died shortly after I took this first photo. So everything else was taken with my Droid 2 camera phone.

#14 - accidental times square

I didn't mean to take this photo in Times Square but I think it quite accurately portrays the dizzying feeling that so often accompanies a visit there.

#5 - inbox surprise!

I got a wonderful e-mail this evening that put a smile on my face and made my day. Taken in May 2010, the last time I saw one of my favorite families before they left NYC and headed back to England, I'd forgotten all about this photo. This is the first I've seen of it so, of course, it is today's choice.

#4 - the last snowman

Every work day on my walk from the subway to the office (and back) I pass Jacques Torres Chocolates. The shop has wide windows through which passersby can see the creation process from start to finish -- when the chocolates are prominently displayed. Before the holidays the windows were full of gorgeously made figures. This afternoon there was only one snowman left...
