a smattering of spring

Spring so far. . .

Sometimes I look up.

winter 2013

I'd previously abandoned this little project but have decided to give it a go again. One day I will want all of these images in one location as evidence of my life on this island and in this decade.

So I begin again with Winter 2013. . .

We did New Year's Eve up right.
This is pretty accurate representation of how we all felt the next morning.

My favorite of all of the "Poetry in Motion" signs on the subway thus far
(Poem by Billy Collins)

New York Cares visits the Brooklyn Children's Museum
and learns a bit about Martin Luther King, Jr.

It's a funky little museum

A nice reminder on a Sunday morning in West Village

. . . and on the way home from work one evening.

Snowstorm Nemo visited at the beginning of February.

Valentine's Day with hearts from Harrod's!

. . . And a scare for my favorite Valentine
(Followed by relief that he ended up being OK.)

Oh, just another Sunday visit to my neighborhood bookstore . . .
(It's blurry but do you see me?)

How about this one?

Words found while walking to school one evening

The lone souvenir from my trip to Orlando
Taken at the airport

March brought more snow!

View of a snowy day from my office window

Buds celebrating a future bride!

One should always document one's first PATH ride
