#305 - happy halloween

In the City (yes, I just capitalized that) a lot of kids trick-or-treat at restaurants and stores on Halloween. I guess this is because there aren't neighborhoods with sidewalks and picket fences, porches with fake cobwebs and jack-o-lanterns, doorbells ringing and houses haunted.

Happy Halloween!

#304 - eternity's sunrise

He who binds himself to a joy
Does the winged life destroy;
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise.

#303 - love from minnesota

After our flight home was canceled because of the snow in NYC and we couldn't get a room in our hotel for the night we had to switch to a hotel by the airport, pretty close to the Mall of America. I'd been avoiding it but ended up going over with my co-worker to get some dinner and we visited one store (see below) before leaving. That was enough for me.

#301 - thursday happenings at AASL

After we got our AASL conference booth finished and up to par (above), my co-worker and I went for a walk through the Skyway and ended up in Nicolette Mall, where we spotted a pumpkin carving contest display. I took a photo of my favorite (below).

#298 - a bit more vanity

Received a CD of Erin's beautiful photos in the mail today, and didn't take any others, so here is one I received from her. . .

Please excuse the vanity.

#296 - pumpkin carving

Had a wonderful Fall afternoon at Valentina's. We baked apple and pumpkin muffins and carved pumpkins out on her patio.

Beppe wanted to know what was going on. . .

My goofy "classic" jack-o-lantern. Tried to make him scary but it didn't work.

All lit up at home. . .

#295 - occupy my street

On the way home tonight I came face-to-face with "Occupy Wall Street" protestors making their way from Symphony Space (96th Street) down Broadway to a midnight Occupy Columbus Circle rally (59th Street).

#286 - a moment of vanity

Erin takes beautiful photos.

I volunteered myself and she took great photos of me over the weekend
at a park in San Antonio.

Here they are.

I apologize for this moment of vanity.

Our regularly scheduled programming will resume tomorrow. . .

(Thank you, Erin.)

#275 - october first

It happened...

I fell down on the job and missed some days.

I'm a bit sad I didn't get a photo for my anniversary.

October 1 marked four years of City life.

This photo was taken during my first year here.
So much has changed and so much remains the same.

I still love New York.
