#178 - waiting on the 1 train

I've decided to do a Subway Series. No, not that Subway Series.

A week of photos, dedicated to all things public transport. Mostly the subway.

I take it at least twice daily. If I'm running around town it can be four to six times. I give up my seat to children and the elderly, will give a couple coins to buskers if they make me smile, have mastered the art of train changing, and have been known, when I'm tired and not paying attention, to go the wrong direction--usually toward far off lands called Queens or Brooklyn, without noticing for a couple of stops. Nobody's perfect.

Day one...

Stayed at the Renaissance Westchester with Amy the night before her wedding!

#163 - reflective

I was in a reflective mood today so I made a pilgrimage down the street to
the Revolutionary Petunia mural to pay homage to the verses:

The Nature of This Flower Is to Bloom.
Rebellious. Living.
Against the Elemental Crush.
A Song of Color
Blooming
For Deserving Eyes.
Blooming Gloriously
For its Self.

#162 - home goods spree

A friend invited me to a "shopping spree" at Home Goods this morning. Got free range of the store and a $50 gift card. I was a little overwhelmed. There was so much to consider... as evidenced in this photo.

Took my first trip to The Highline today...

It is a park that was built on old train tracks down in the Chelsea/Meatpacking District.

#155 - me and anthony

Had a fun time with my little buddy, Anthony tonight. He was in town with his mum from England and we spent the night doing "sums" and counting. Such a smart boy!

I also found a new Droid app and experimented with it. These are the results.

#153 - the prank

Two of my co-workers pranked me upon my return to the office today.

First I noticed my computer screen was covered in Post-its. It said "Welcome Back."

Then I saw they turned almost everything in my cubicle upside down including my books, posters, calendar, memos, etc.

Then I peeled off the Post-its to discover this. I have a red Swingline stapler (a la Milton in Office Space.) Now Milton peeks out of my cubicle window and watches passersby.
